Lemna Polishing Reactor™ is an effective and affordable solution for pond-based municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities that require supplemental BOD and ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N) polishing. The LPR is
an upflow attached-growth reactor. Using well-proven attached-growth media technology, the LPR enhances the growth of nitrification bacteria that biologically oxidizes ammonia in an aerobic environment.
Whether used as
a stand-alone package treatment system for low loaded/small flow applications,
or as an add-on to existing treatment processes, the LPR has proven to be
an economical and reliable solution for achieving stringent effluent limits. When added as a final polishing step for supplemental BOD or ammonia nitrogen
(NH3-N) removal, the LPR often represents the most cost-effective means
of tertiary treatment on the market.
