Heat Retention
The heat retention requirements of each system determine the thickness of the insulation in the LemTec™ modular cover. Heat loss calculations are performed on the influent wastewater temperature and ambient cold weather conditions to determine the optimal R value. A fully covered treatment process, whether in a lagoon or a tank, is typically designed to maintain effluent temperature within 2 degrees Celsius of the influent temperature. Ranging from one to four inches of insulation and everything in between, LemTec™ covers are custom-built to meet specific needs.
